Grubb vs. Education (English102blog#1)

Clearly, Grubb's perspective on the educational system is that it is not benefitting students to develope and incorportate their skills to their full potential. I agree that education these days is becoming more "lax" in a sense that it is not challenging students enough. The motivation in most schools for students to really key in on preparing them for careers or further education, is lacking. Although, in smaller schools or private schools, the bar is set higher for achievement. This could be due to smaller classroom sizes and a greater teacher to student ratio. Further more, as a college student myself, I believe it is imparative these days to earn a higher education because our society is always pushing to be at the top and in the fast lane of business. My reasoning for enrolling here at a community college is to not only further my education. I hope to live out a flourishing lifestyle and have more options in a career that I can enjoy and be successful in as well. My goal here at the Falls is to finish my A.A. Degree along with my FMT Degree, and transfer to either WSU or another school in Seattle for my masters in Sports Nutrition and Exercise Science. In comparison with Grubb's belief, my choice of path through education is very fitting with his. What can I say? Great minds think alike :)
